Ragweed parthenium (Parthenium hysterophorus) is a non-native landscape weed indigenous to Central and South America and has rapidly spread to many parts of the world. This species is listed in the top 100 most invasive species in the world by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. This weed is found along railway, pastures, grasslands, seasonal flood plains, woodlands, waste areas, disturbed natural sites, lawns, gardens and among crops.
