Froelichia floridana

Cottonweed (Froelichia floridana) is a landscape weed native to the Eastern United States. While this weed can be found statewide, it is considered "rare" in South Florida. Although listed as non-toxic, this plant contains natural insect-repelling phytoecdysteroids and should not be ingested.
