Digitaria ciliaris
Southern crabgrass (Digitaria ciliaris) is a common Florida landscape weed. Once crabgrass has established in the landscape or lawn, it can be very difficult to control as little to no herbicides are effective without causing damage to other common grass species. This species will die back in the winter, as it is not cold hardy, but will return with warmer temperatures.
