Cyperus esculentus
Yellow nutsedge (Cyperus esculentus) is a non-native landscape weed. Species is difficult to remove due to stratification and layering of its root system. Plants grow in a thin pattern with leaves that easily break from roots and tubers. The roots and tubers are interconnected, and plants can regenerate from a single tuber left in the ground.
