Precision Agriculture and Irrigation

Precision agriculture broadly refers to a set of practices in food production which decrease the demand for resources (such as water, fertilizer, or herbicides) while increasing crop yield and profitability. Properly managing water resources is important, especially in a state like Florida, which is home to more than 47,000 farms, 10,000 lakes and over 21 million people.

Precision irrigation refers to the practice of using technology, such as an irrigation scheduling system or artificial intelligence, to improve plant health and reduce the overall wastage of water, nutrients, and other farming inputs.
