Water School for Leaders
The Water School for Leaders program equips local government officials, community leaders, and policy makers with essential knowledge about Central Florida's complex water systems and challenges. This specialized training provides science-based information on water resource management and sustainable planning strategies. Through field trips, expert presentations, and collaborative discussions, participants gain deeper understanding of regional water issues, regulatory frameworks, and innovative solutions.
The program builds capacity for informed decision-making that balances community needs with long-term water resource protection, helping leaders create policies and initiatives that address Central Florida's current and future water challenges.
Please contact regional specialized water resources Extension agent Dr. Yilin Zhuang if you are interested in introducing the Water School program in your county.
