Dr. Melinda Knuth
Melinda Knuth is a post doctoral researcher examining the complex relationships between those who purchase plants and those who produce plants. Knuth earned her bachelor’s degree in horticulture at University of Nebraska-Lincoln and doctorate in horticulture from Texas A & M University.
Knuth’s graduate research focused on understanding behavioral and attitudinal differences of consumers towards landscape plants among drought and non-drought periods. Knuth’s research experience includes both qualitative and quantitative research in the form of consumer and producer surveys, eye-tracking studies and interviews. Her research interests include consumer behavior, horticulture economics, management, the cut flower supply chain as well as garden and retail signage.
