Ernest Kraka, Ph.D.

Ernest Kraka is a postdoctoral researcher evaluating herbicides for weed management in ornamental and landscape plants. Prior to joining the Landscape and Ornamental Production Weed Management Laboratory, he earned his doctorate in agricultural science, specializing in weed science with a minor in entomology from Mississippi State University (MSU). At MSU, Kraka conducted research on ALS-inhibitor herbicide resistant management in Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum). He also conducted research on two species listed on the Federal Noxious Weeds List, Tropical soda apple (Solanum viarum) and Benghal dayflower (Commelina benghalensis).
