MREC Teaching Programs

Application & Registration Procedures

Degree Seeking Students

Students who would like to pursue an undergraduate degree at our facility must already possess an Associate of Arts degree and apply through the University of Florida Statewide Programs http://cals.ufl.edu/offcampus/admissions.shtml.

Non-Degree Seeking Students

For those who wish to register as non-degree seeking students and receive college credit for courses successfully completed, you must complete a non-degree application each semester.  To qualify for in-state tuition fees (Florida resident for past 12 months) you must provide proof of residency.  In addition, you must complete a non-degree application on-line at: http://www.cals.ufl.edu/distance/

Auditing students

Auditing a course allows a student to take a class without benefit of a grade or credit for the course.  A student who audits a course does not officially register for the course.  For those who wish to take courses for personal and professional development and do not want to receive college credit for courses successfully completed, you must complete a University of Florida Permit to Audit a Course form.  Students are responsible for paying all required tuition and course fees.
For those who are Florida residents over the age of 60 who would like to audit a course and have their tuition fee waived you must complete an audit form and provide proof of age and residency.  Audit forms can be obtained through contacting our program coordinator.  If you have a valid Florida Drivers license which has not been renewed within the past 12 months, a photocopy of your driver’s license should be sufficient proof residency.  Please remember to photocopy both sides if it was previously renewed by mail.
